Disadvantaged & Homeless Support Program
Part of the online municipal education platform G.A.L.S. will include a support program connecting other nonprofits and businesses that assist community members who are disadvantaged or homeless. Our goal is to help improve the quality of life and advancement of education for the less fortunate by providing general educational support, physical and mental health education services, and job training skills. G.A.L.S. will also be working closely with other nonprofits who support the less fortunate by providing food, clothing, and shelter programs.
Specific activities we will conduct – create a space for local nonprofits and community businesses to offer educational support services to help improve the quality of life and advancement of education for the less fortunate in the community by providing general education such as: math, reading, and writing, physical and mental health education, and job training skills
Where the activities will be conducted – connecting through our online platform, communities will be able offer disadvantaged and homeless support programs provided by local nonprofits and businesses, who will also plan for specific brick and mortar locations in the community to meet face to face, and we will also connect with schools
When or how often the activities occur – flexible dates and times will be created to support the community
How the activities further our exempt purpose – helping the less fortunate improve their quality of life and advancement in education
