Outdoor Education Program
Part of the online municipal education platform G.A.L.S. will include a space connecting our city, state, and federal parks, gardens, trails, and waterways to educate the public about native plants and animals in their surrounding areas. Our goal is to work with communities, government programs, schools, and nonprofits to educate the public on the history and natural resources of the area. G.A.L.S. will also be working closely with other education programs.
Specific activities we will conduct – have space to provide courses and hands-on/outdoor teaching about local historical background, native animals, native plants, and other natural resources of the surrounding community
Where the activities will be conducted – connecting through multiple locations such as: our online platform, parks, gardens, trails, waterways, and historical sites; communities will have educational consulting by our staff; also connecting with government programs, schools, and a variety of nature and historical nonprofits, who will also plan for specific brick and mortar locations in the community to meet face to face
When or how often the activities occur – flexible dates and times will be created to support the community
How the activities further our exempt purpose – help in the advancement of education and preservation of native plants, animals, other natural resources, and historical relevance
